The new film by director Josephine Links can be seen in Rudolstadt even before its official cinema release: In her new documentary, Josefine Links, who made the 2016 film ‘Wo Worte nicht hinreichen (Where Words Are Not Enough)’ about the Rudolstadt Festival, accompanies renowned portrait photographer Martin Schoeller on his journey through the many facets of American society. Whether president or homeless person, acting legend or labourer, homeless people, former prisoners, drag queens or Native Americans - Schoeller approaches them all with the same intensity and dedication. His iconic close-ups reveal not only the faces, but also the stories and feelings behind the surface, capturing the essence of the people depicted. There will also be a discussion with the director Josefine Links at the premiere.
