Who am I? What do I want? Where do I belong? Big questions, dressed up in unagitated, sensitive lyrics. Raquel Martin's songs deal with life in the In-between – whether gender identity or the search for home. She grew up in Portugal, but moved to London when she was 17.

Just as she locates her own self in between, she also refuses to be pigeonholed musically. Her style incorporates Brazilian Bossa Nova and Indie, electronic and acoustic elements, sometimes sounding funky, sometimes jazzy. A great openness – and thus a wonderful gift for our line-up!
