Line up 2022: Sevdah songs with Božo Vrećo

Sevdalinka is a confession of the soul says Božo Vrećo about the music he has fallen for: sung love poetry from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Melancholia set to music, rooted in Ottoman times, but with all ethnic and religious groups from the region having left their marks.

There are several interesting, contemporary voices interpreting Sevdah, but none is like this. Božo Vrećo is man and woman at the same time and with all their facets in between. For Božo music means the liberation from the rules and standards of a conservative society. At the same time it is the queer interpretation of traditional songs which seem to reveal the core of Sevdah, and Božo Vrećo does that in an incredible empathetic, sublime and soulful way.
