How to get there

We almost don't believe it ourselves, but after years of traffic lights and diversions, it is now possible to get to Rudolstadt from all three motorways without any restrictions due to roadworks. Nevertheless, a recommendation for navigation: Please just enter Rudolstadt as your destination and follow the signs from the entrance to the tent, campervan or caravan site of your choice. We have created routes here to relieve the traffic at the main arrival times.

If you are travelling from Saalfeld, Jena or Erfurt, we again have free P+R car parks available. There will also be appropriate signs on the access roads and, of course, the shuttle buses will start here. These run every half hour from Friday to Sunday, between 10:00 in the morning and 03:00 at night.

It has often been said and written: The limit of the Rudolstadt Festival is vehicles of all kinds. We therefore ask our visitors to use the P+R car parks and - if possible - to travel by train. In the city and region, the KomBus (App online!) public transport service offers convenient bus connections. You can find out the quickest way to get from the railway station to Heidecksburg Castle or to the shared accommodation in our festival app.
