Their biography reads like the stuff dreams are made of – or real pop careers. It all began in a home studio in Velbert, North Rhine-Westphalia. Two former classmates were working on their songs there in 2021. Sammy plays guitar and had taught himself arranging and producing, Rayan was relatively inexperienced in making music. Their songs are about heartbreak, world-weariness and stories about growing up. Then came ‘Paris Syndrom’, and suddenly lots of people were listening to their soft songs. Newcomer awards, TV shows and their first tour followed in 2023. And the hype continues, but Blumengarten still come across as authentic, their songs seem honest and often carry a touching sincerity. Musically, it's wrapped in indie and pop, a bit of RnB, some folk, some soul. And above it all is Rayan's distinctive voice.
