Janusz Prusinowski Kompania (POL)The Janusz Prusinowski Kompania bridges the gap between past and present, drawing inspiration from their musical elders while carving out their own avant-garde niche with a distinctive sound and robust improvisational style. The members combine music with dance, and the archaic with the contemporary, using instruments such as the violin, drums, cello, and shawm to produce extraordinary music that acts like a revolving door between eras. Between 2008 and 2012, the group toured the world, performing at venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Chicago Symphony Center. In 2014 and 2015, violinist and bandleader Prusinowski Janusz received several awards for his dedication to preserving this unique cultural heritage.
