Óme (NOR)On Saturday and Sunday, Sivert Holmen (Odde/Holmen) will be presenting another project. "Can you feel the silence?", Van Morrison asked in his masterpiece Summertime in England. In it, violinist Sivert Holmen, dancer Silje Onstad Hålien and artistic director Kari Anne Bjerkestrand take up this question: "Óme" means reverb or echo and refers to the sound in silence; the piece is the encounter of a violin with a dancer, which begins with absolute silence. At the beginning, the artist and audience resonate with each other before the music slowly dissolves into movement: how can the violin fill the space, what remains of the dance when the music slowly fades away ...?
