Auckland or Bratislava? It doesn’t matter – the important thing is Berlin. That’s where this Slovak-New Zealand-German quintet is based. For several years, they have been breathing new life into the psychedelic rock scene, playing at some of Europe’s biggest festivals, including Glastonbury in the UK, Eurosonic in the Netherlands, and Pohoda in Slovakia. The artists also boast interesting roots – Slavic, Celtic, German, Roma and Māori – so it’s no wonder that they “reject half-heartedness and are wholly dedicated to their music and the goal of becoming better people for one another”. Their music is a blend of dream pop and indie, peppered with electronic influences – a mystical tapestry woven from the ethereal threads of magical Slavic trip hop and the ancient harmonies of hippie psychedelia.
