Throes + The Shine is a Luso-Angolan trio whose members hail from Porto and Luanda. Two of them have a rock background, while another grew up with kuduro — a fast, beat-heavy electronic style that originated in Angola in the 1980s and 90s. When the three musicians came together, it was clear that their sound would be perfect for long nights, parties and dancefloor vibes. Over the course of hundreds of concerts and several studio albums, they have also incorporated R&B, cumbia and hip-hop into their work. The trio has evolved, but one thing remains the same: standing still is not an option!
