Sturle Dagsland

NOR

Is it a concert? A radical sound experiment? Or maybe a spiritual performance? It's all of the above. Sturle Dagsland and his brother Sjur take the audience on a journey of atmospheric and emotional contrasts, catapulting them from one moment to the next. They leap from delicate melodies to raw, primal sounds and surreal explosions of noise. Sturle's voice can whisper, sing or scream. Sometimes you hear a nyckelharpa; sometimes a goat horn; then suddenly, a Chinese zither. The two artists' fusion of traditional instruments and electronics transcends temporal, geographical, and musical frames of reference. It is an intense listening experience.
