Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra have been happily stomping across genre boundaries for over a decade now. The songs range from country and rock & roll to folk and blues and everything in between. Singer and songwriter Rob Heron evokes the spirit of Bob Wills and Django Reinhardt with a quintet that swings and shuffles and plays the boogie woogie. The Tea Pad is based in Newcastle, but they've played everywhere from Glastonbury and the Cambridge Folk Festival to village halls and barns. In September 2022, the band released their fifth studio album The Party's Over, taking their signature blend of classic country and rhythm and blues to a new level.
