Luomuduo (Olli Sippola - violin, Sakari Keipi - guitar) are the self-proclaimed prophets of Nordic post-folk instrumental music. Besides a deep-rooted respect for tradition, Luomuduo have a healthy disregard for genre and style boundaries and tend to play what they feel like playing - within the limits of good taste, of course. Their debut album Askola was released in 2021, after which the Finnish magazine Kansanmusiikki labelled them ‘one of the most stylish bands on the scene today’. Luomuduo were selected as showcase artists for the Norwegian Folkelarm 2023 and the Finnish Kaustinen Folk Music Festival 2024. Minimalist instrumentation and maximalist composition.
