Lidová musika z Chrástu
The eight musicians play with a great passion for folk music. ‘Each of us is different and we see our diversity as an opportunity and a gift,’ says the band, and ’We are united by the joy of folk melodies and lyrics, which we are happy to pass on.’ Their instruments: classical string and wind instruments and Czech bagpipes are also used in some arrangements. Their repertoire is based on songs from southern and western Bohemia. It is currently the only band in the Czech Republic that is dedicated to the folklore of the Lusatian Serbs, a small people who live near the Czech border in Saxony and Brandenburg. They don't dance, but they can play along to dance late into the night.
