Kids With Buns is a Belgian indie pop duo consisting of Marie Van Uytvanck and Amber Piddington. The two musicians performed on stage together for the first time in 2019. It worked so well that they decided to form Kids With Buns. The band name is inspired by the Gorillaz song ‘Kids With Guns’. Their sound is intimate indie rock inspired by Nick Drake, Ben Howard and girl in red, driven by Amber's melodic guitars and Marie's unique deep voice. In January 2021, Kids With Buns won the talent contest ‘De Nieuwe Lichting’ organised by Studio Brussel. Their single ‘bad grades’ reached number one in the Belgian charts and was streamed more than 2.5 million times. They presented their debut EP ‘waiting room’ in April 2022 at two sold-out Ancienne Belgique shows.
