They just want to play (again)! After the acclaimed premiere of the newly born German youth folk orchestra last year, we wanted them back. With bagpipes, violins, cellos, accordions, double bass and much more, the 40 musicians aged between 12 and 25 from all over Germany bring a powerful sound to the stage. Rousing dance melodies from old manuscripts from the Alps to the Baltic Sea, well-known and less well-known love, anti-war and emigrant songs - the repertoire is diverse and, just like the origins of the young musicians, represents the whole of Germany.  The project shows how many young people are enthusiastic about traditional German music and carry it forward with enthusiasm and creativity.
