'Idemo' is Burgenland Croatian for 'Let's go'. This short phrase can convey so much, and so this quartet unfolds a whole musical panorama of departure and farewell. Ranging from an old Yiddish lullaby to their own„Pendlerblues“ (commuter blues), Idemo tells stories from 'a border region where there were no borders for a long time'. The band sees its music as a tribute to the different languages and people of Burgenland, a region shaped by emigration and immigration. Historical songs are transformed and expanded through jazz, pop, and improvisation, giving them a surprisingly contemporary resonance.
