Ezékiel Wendtoin Nikiema, alias Ezé, was born in 1991 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. He is a singer, composer, drummer, guitarist, frontman on fire and rapper. He lives in Dresden, where he completed his Master's degree in German Studies at the TU. He writes and sings his lyrics in German, French and Mooré - his native language. With his songs and social projects (partner organisations TAM e.V. Dresden, APECA Ouagadougou), he is committed to social coexistence and building bridges. In 2019, he covered Konstantin Wecker's song ‘Sage Nein!’, which attracted a lot of attention on social media. His current sound is characterised by Afro-beats, Amapiano and West African rhythms, which is also reflected in his latest album ‘Schwarz wurde ich’.
