Once upon a time in a country called Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2003, a few friends founded a band there that raised its voice in a rigid social environment. Their sound is a mixture of traditional Balkan folk, ska, reggae, punk, hip hop and dub. Dubioza Kolektiv stands for strong lyrics - the band attacks the powerful of the world with irony and humour. Sometimes in their native language, sometimes in English. The group quickly became a successful ‘insider tip’ with a large online presence, and their sixth album APSURDISTAN (2013) was an international success that has been growing ever since.
