Like this band, the dazzling figure of Baba Yaga from Slavic mythology has many faces. Since 2022, they have been enthusiastically shifting between worlds. Their repertoire ranges from Balkan pieces and lively swing to klezmer tunes, jazz, and oriental dances. This reflects the diverse origins of the five band members, who hail from Austria, Montenegro, and Israel. They have aptly named their debut album „Grenzenlos“ (Boundless). It's perfect for exuberant celebrations and dancing, but it can also evoke melancholy. After all, Baba Yaga, the mythological figure, is also considered the guardian of the threshold between life and death.
