A Schwoazzes Gebiss
AUTA Schwoazzes Gebiss are reimagining post-war Viennese poetry. They present their homage as an audiovisual performance blending spoken word, song and post-punk in the style of a pop-art Gesamtkunstwerk. Above all, it is the delightfully enigmatic poems that captivate Georg Kostron and the other three band members. "The spotlight falls on the experimental language of the 1950s to 1970s and the Viennese dialect." For, as they write: 'Here, the sinister mould grins from behind the floral curtain. Gloomy yet humorous, the legendary poetry rhymes its way into the present, startling, enchanting and entertaining as if it were freshly printed.'
