Vlado Kreslin & Mali Bogovi (SLO)

Vlado Kreslin & Mali Bogovi (SLO)Slovenian folk-rock veteran Vlado Kreslin was born in Beltinci in 1953. His first band when he was a teenager was Apollo. As a vocalist and guitarist, he then played in various groups, exploring a variety of genres from Neil Young to the psychedelic rock of Vanilla Fudge. In 1991, when he was in the band Martin Krpan, he shared the stage with Bob Dylan. Instantly recognizable by his ever-present hat, Kreslin’s trademarks are his hits that almost every child in Slovenia knows, and his collaboration with the group Beltinška banda since the 1990s. He’s supported many worthwhile causes, notably by performing folk songs in refugee camps during the Bosnian War. He’s appeared in Slovenia and abroad with acts like REM, Harald Theessink, Sean Donell (The Dubliners) and Mary Coughlan. At Rudolstadt, he’ll be joined by the band Mali Bogovi.
