Aban Ensemble (IRN)Now living in exile in Germany, each member of this group of Iranian musicians was raised in different regional forms of traditional Persian music. These different forms each have different rhythmic and melodic characteristics. Each member of the Abans is pursuing her own path between neo-trad, jazz, film music, electro-acoustic music and other fusions. At Rudolstadt they’ll perform a more tradition-oriented repertoire spiced by a handful of their own compositions and improvisations.
