Info on street music (busking) at the Rudolstadt-Festival

Conditions
Street music at the Rudolstadt-Festival means: two sets of app. 50-60 minutes each between Friday 13 h and Sunday 18 h. We will decide when and where these performances will be scheduled but of course you may tell us your preferred dates.

We do not pay any fees and do not cover travel costs or food/catering. You may – without commission to the festival! – sell recordings and merchandising after your performances at the venues and also collect money.

Each participant receives free entry, free parking and camping in their own tent or caravan for all four days of the festival. If you don’t want to camp, you can organise accommodation at your own expense through the city’s Tourist Information Office: info@rudolstadt.de, +49 (0)3672 - 486 440.

We cannot grant accompanying persons and guests free entry to the festival and/or accommodate them free of charge. Please secure tickets for them in good time at www.rudolstadt-festival.de.

Technical Requirements
In tune with the spirit of festival atmosphere and mutual respect, we prefer acoustic street music with minimal amplification. Bringing and using your own PA system is not permitted. A power outlet (230V socket) for vocal microphones, for example is available close to the podium. It would be important to pack an extension cord. For a limited number of performances, we have a stage (Theaterplatz) with a PA system and sound engineer provided by the festival. We do not provide any backline, though, And only one performance per band may be scheduled there; the second must be performed unplugged.

In case of heavy rainfall the performance may be terminated or cancelled.

There is a room in the City Hall (on the market square) where the equipment can be stored.

One more info for the future: After a performance at our festival you may only apply again after a break of three festival editions.
